The doctors at Alfords Point Medical Practice are fellows of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and are Vocationally Registered. They have a commitment to general practice and to continuing medicine education, regularly attending postgraduate medical meetings. All doctors have a keen interest in preventative medicine.
 
Alfords Point Medical Practice is GPA Accredited and is affiliated with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the AMA.
 

Dr. Peter Gilkes MBBS (UNSW), FRACGP

Dr. Peter Gilkes graduated in Medicine from the University of New South Wales in 1983.  He completed postgraduate training and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  With his vision of providing high quality family medicine, he established Alfords Point Medical Practice in 1988, when the suburb was only very new.  His goal of providing comprehensive medical care to families in the area remains the highest priority of the practice.
 
Peter has a broad range of interests in family medicine.  He also works part-time in private hospitals as a surgical assistant.
 
 

Dr. Suzette Grimm MBBS (Sydney Uni), DCH (Diploma of Child Health) FRACGP

Dr. Suzette Grimm graduated in Medicine from Sydney University in 1987.  Postgraduate qualifications include the Fellowship of College of General Practitioners, Diploma of Child Health, Family Planning Certificate and has level 2 training in Mental Health.
 
Suzette joined Alfords Point Medical Practice in 1993.  Her interests in general practice include women's health, paediatrics, preventative health care and mental health issues such as stress, anxiety and depression.
 
 

Dr. Suzanne Perera MBBS (USNW) (Hons) FRACGP

Dr. Suzanne Perera graduated in Medicine with honors from University of New South Wales in 1991. On completion of postgraduate training she was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
 
Suzanne joined Alford Point Medical Practice in 1996.  Her interests in general practice are women's health, preventative care and general medicine.  Suzanne also has an interest and training in shared care in obstetrics.  She has a Family Planning Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health and level 2 training in Mental Health.  Interests include mental health and food intolerance.
 
 

Dr. Calvin Ling MBBS (UNSW), FRACGP

Dr. Calvin Ling graduated in Medicine from the University of New South Wales in 1989.  He then worked as a resident medical officer in St. George, Sutherland and Canterbury Hospitals from 1989 to 1992.  During that time he had 12 months secondment in Geriatric and Palliative care in the St George and Sutherland Shire.  In 1993 he completed postgraduate training in general practice and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners.  He has been working as a general practitioner since 1993.
 
Calvin joined Alfords Point Medical Practice in 1999.  His goal is to provide a comprehensive and quality medical care to the families in the local area.  Dr. Ling's main interest in the practice is preventative medicine.
 
 

Dr. Daisy Tan MBBS (Sydney Uni), DCH (Diploma of Child Health), FRACGP

Dr. Daisy Tan graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995.  She trained and worked at various hospitals before entering general practice.  She has also been involved in research and teaching.  She was awarded a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners upon successful completion of her training and examinations.  She holds a Diploma of Child Health and has a Family Planning Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health.
 
Daisy commenced working at Alfords Point Medical Practice in 2002.  She is interested in all aspects of general practice including treating patients with chronic and metabolic conditions, lifestyle conditions, preventative medicine, paediatrics, aged care, women's health and mental health.
 
 
 

Dr Annalyse Crane MBBS (Notre Dame), DCH (Diploma of Child Health), MPH (Masters of Public Health) FRACGP

Annalyse completed her post graduate medical degree at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney.  Her hospital training was spent at St. Vincent's Hospital where she also worked in the Emergency Department for some time.  Annalyse also has qualifications in physical education, public health and has a Diploma in Child Health.

 

Her medical interests are Indigenous health, travel medicine, mental health and sexual health.  She is accredited to provide ante natal shared care for Sutherland and St.George Hospitals. Annalyse is skilled in Implanon insertion and removal.

 

Practice Nurse     Debra  and Jackie

We have a full time registered nurse.  Debra has experience in childhood immunisations, travel vaccination, ear irrigation & wound management.

Debra works closely with the local Medicare Local for the Sutherland Shire area, which enables her to keep up to date with the latest public health initiatives.

Debra's hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm, except Wedneday 8:30am to 12:30pm.

Jackie is our Practice Nurse on Saturdays, working from 8.00am - 12.00pm
